Famous Bus Trips

Some of the club’s most popular events are our “Famous Bus Trips.” Often scheduled after the Program Year has been planned, we put the word out on the latest trips with emails to our members, so be sure to join!

Our destinations have ranged from special shows at LACMA (the Los Angeles County Museum of Art),

the Broad, Norton Simon, Huntington Library and Gardens, the Palm Springs Art Museum, and more.

Getting there and back is part of the fun. We serve wine and hors d’oeuvres on the return home, and

we always make time for lunch at unique restaurants in the area.

RSVPs and pre-payments are required, because often the trips sell out. Parking is in the Metrolink lot on the northeast corner of E. First St. and Columbia in Pomona College, where the bus meets us.

Not all our excursions are by bus, however. We took a Metro and walking tour of the fantastic Public Art in the L.A. Metro Stations with the MTA’s Helen Ortiz-Gilstrap, and we often carpool to local destinations such as AMOCA (the American Museum of Ceramic Art) in Pomona, and the Maloof Studios and Art Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.
