Because of the Pandemic, Rembrandt Club Programs for the new Program Year (October 2020 through May 2021) will be via Zoom at 1:30 p.m. on a Thursday. The exceptions: The Scripps Fine Arts invitation in October, and the Annual May Spring Luncheon (see below). Zoom Sign-in Information will be emailed to members before each program.
Oct. 8, 2020, 1:30 p.m. Presentation from two of our previous Rembrandt Club Junior Art Prize Awardees. Sana Javeri Kadri (2015) and Juliette Walker (2012) wowed us with especially creative projects that also incorporated art to make the world a better place. They will speak on what they’ve been doing since they graduated from Pomona College.
Oct. 14, 2020, Scripps Fine Arts invites us to be their guests on a virtual tour of the Williamson Gallery’s exhibition Mirror, Mirror, The Prints of Alison Saar as part of a survey of the artist’s sculptures, installations, paintings, and drawings that will be exhibited at both the new Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College and the Armory in Pasadena. This will be a video of the virtual tour posted on their website on or soon after Oct.14, that you can watch at any time.
Nov. 19, 2020, 1:30 p.m., Johnnie Chatman, Lens-based Artist and Program Administrator, Parsons School of Design, NYC, will speak on Land Matters
Dec. 2020 Due to the Pandemic, it is unlikely we will be able to have our holiday dinner or tea.
Jan.21, 2021, 1:30 p.m., Deepak Shimkhada, Artist, Professor, Organizer and Entrepreneur, will speak on A rocky road to Artdom: My Journey As an Artist
Feb.18, 2021 1:30 p.m., Terrie Chedore, Visual Artist, Diaconal Minister in the United Church of Canada, Anticipating New Life
March 11, 2021, 1:30 p.m. Adeola Davies-Aiyeloja, Fine Artist, Dialogue with Abstract - A Soulful Perspective
