Honor
Perdita Sheirich's Love of The Rembrandt Club
and Support for the Arts at Pomona College

In tribute to the memory of their stepmother, Paul and Vanessa Sheirich have generously offered to sponsor a 2026 fundraiser for the Rembrandt Club's 120th Anniversary year.  At the January 2026 program, featuring former Junior Art Prize Recipient, Rody Lopez, the Sheirich family will be recognized for their generosity.

Paul and Vanessa will match member donations at 3:1 to a maximum of $5000.00 in member contributions!

All funds will be earmarked specifically to support the Perdita Sheirich Junior Art Prize  offered in the spring of each year to future artists studying at Pomona College in the Art History and Art Departments.

The fundraiser will continue through April 2026 when the Art Prize Recipients for 2026 will be selected. Members may donate online (see the links below) or mail checks made out to The Rembrandt Club/Sheirich Grant at this address:  838 W.  Buffington St., Upland, CA 91784.

All donations are tax deductible.

Thank-you!

Perdita Sheirich (1930--2025) , joined The Rembrandt Club

of Pomona College and Claremont in 1966 and served on the

Club Board every year since then, in many capacities, including

President from 1968-70 and 1974-76, and Co-President from

2000-01.

Always engaging, delightfully droll, and full of life; her track record is an incredible list of programs, galas, and traditions always holding an appreciation of the arts in all its forms for the students at Pomona College and the local Claremont community.  In 2022, the Club voted to rename its annual grants to students in the Art History and Art Departments at the college in her honor: The Perdita Sheirich Junior Art Prize.   Perdita was a bright light in this community for decades--her spirit will remain with us always.
